In tomorrow's smart city, intelligent digital displays will be everywhere. In self-driving buses, at shops and in buildings, these displays respond to their surroundings. They connect to the cloud and draw on other systems and sources, including content, object and facial recognition, weather data and information about their surroundings. On that basis, many new digital business models become possible.

Digital developments were the starting point for the inspiration session for Avery Dennison, the market leader in innovative packaging materials, which also calls itself the world leader in materials science. It was not the first time Richard had worked with Avery Dennison. This time, in an international webinar, product developers and innovation specialists came together around one question: what comes after the sticker?

The session looked further ahead, to 2050 and beyond, and covered the organisation of the future, the power of ecosystems and new leadership.

The next day, the manager in charge sent a message: "Great job Richard! You nailed it. We'll keep in touch."
