Interpol occupies a special position in the field of crime fighting. The organization is present in 195 countries to support police forces and is active in the fields of counter-terrorism, ‘organized and emerging crime’ and cybercrime. The organization shares a lot of information about crimes and criminals and also provides Interpol with knowledge and operational services.
Interpol’s knowledge program allowed me to inspire 50 Interpol agents during a three-hour master class about the future of crime and its impact on the future of the Interpol organization. During these meetings we discussed the benefits and risks of technological developments as well as forms of acceleration and innovation for the international Interpol organisation. This year was again a special meeting with special people. Of the many lectures I get to do, this is a category that will stay with you forever. Hopefully again next year.
