Long bio

206 words

Richard van Hooijdonk is a trend watcher, futurist and international keynote speaker. Most futurists study tomorrow's world from a distance. Richard van Hooijdonk already works in it: his research team consists of people and AI agents. He speaks about AI and new technology, the organisation of the future and leadership in the AI era. He has given more than 3,000 keynotes to audiences totalling more than 650,000 people across more than 30 countries, in Dutch and English, in person and online.

With that team, he examines how organisations use new technology and where things go wrong. His talks show what AI already does in hospitals, warehouses and council offices, and the decisions senior leaders and teams need to make: which tasks to hand over to AI and where human judgement remains necessary. Criminal uses of the same technology, including cloned voices and fabricated videos, feature in every keynote.

He is the author of the bestseller De wereld van morgen (The World of Tomorrow) and more than 2,000 blog posts, and a regular guest on radio and television. He has several chips implanted in his body, which he uses to open doors and pay, among other things, and he is exploring the possibilities of a brain chip.
